  • 4 cabbage steaks
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 1/2 cups grated parmigiano reggiano cheese
  • 1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. chopped parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper. Wash and cut the cabbage in half vertically, then slice steaks approximately 1 inch thick from one half, ensuring they remain intact by cutting through the stem.
  • In a bowl, mix olive oil, 1/3 cup of grated Parmesan, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Brush both sides of the cabbage steaks with this mixture.
  • Use the remaining Parmesan to form piles on the baking sheet, enough for each steak (about 1/3 cup). Place each cabbage steak onto its cheese base.
  • Roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes until the cheese becomes brown and crispy.
  • Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy your meal immediately.

Notes
