- 3 medium avocados
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ – 1 teaspoon sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1–2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 small tomatoes deseeded and diced
Instructions
- Slice the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
- Mash the avocado using a potato masher or a fork, keeping it slightly chunky.
- Mix in the cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, ½ teaspoon of salt, black pepper, and a tablespoon of lime juice.
- For a smoother guacamole, blend the spices into the avocado; for a chunkier mix, stir it with a rubber spatula.
- Fold in the chopped cilantro and diced tomatoes until well incorporated.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt or lime juice if desired.
- Allow the guacamole to sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- If making in advance, store in the fridge tightly covered, with a pit in the center and a splash of lime juice on top to prevent browning.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
For an extra kick, include diced jalapeños.
