Description

This Homemade Chocolate Pudding offers an irresistible flavor and a simple prep process, with rich chocolate flavors that make it a perfect dessert for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ tablespoons (12g) corn starch
  • 3 tablespoons (15g) cocoa powder
  • 2 cups (474ml) milk (whole, 2%, or nonfat)
  • ½ cup (85g) chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons (28g) butter, diced
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, corn starch, and cocoa powder.
  2. Gradually whisk in the milk until well combined.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and starts to boil.
  4. Once thickened, remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips, butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Pour the pudding into serving dishes and let it cool.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Ensure to continuously stir the pudding to avoid lumps and scorching.
You can top the pudding with whipped cream or additional chocolate chips before serving.
For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
