Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups white rice
  • 5 cups water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • 2 shots espresso
  • ¼ cup horchata

Instructions

  1. Rinse the white rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Blend the rinsed rice with 5 cups of water, 2 cinnamon sticks, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  3. Strain the mixture to remove the rice solids, and add ⅓ cup of brown sugar and 2 tsp of vanilla, mixing well.

  5. To assemble, mix the horchata with the milk of choice, then pour over ice or heat as desired.
  6. Top with the prepared espresso shots and enjoy your Horchata Latte!
