Description

This cold brew coffee recipe brings out rich flavors using coarsely ground coffee and cold filtered water. It’s simple to prepare, yielding a deliciously smooth cup that’s perfect for hot days or whenever you crave a refreshing drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup coarsely ground coffee (80g)
  • 4 cups cold filtered water (900ml)

Instructions

  1. Combine coarsely ground coffee and cold filtered water in a large jar or pitcher.
  2. Stir well to ensure all the coffee grounds are saturated with water.
  3. Cover the jar and let it steep at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 12 to 24 hours, depending on your desired strength.
  4. After steeping, strain the coffee through a fine mesh sieve or coffee filter to remove the grounds.
  5. Serve the cold brew coffee over ice, diluted with water or milk to taste.

Notes

Store any leftover cold brew coffee in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Experiment with the coffee-to-water ratio to find your preferred strength.
Cold brew concentrate can be mixed with milk or water for a refreshing drink.
