- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 ½ pounds)
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- ⅓ cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 ½ cups herb stuffing mix
- ¼ cup melted salted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Arrange the chicken breasts in the bottom of the baking dish and place Swiss cheese slices on top.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the condensed cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, and onion powder. Spread this mixture over the chicken and cheese.
- In another bowl, combine the herb stuffing mix with melted butter and spread it evenly over the top of the chicken.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the stuffing is golden.
Notes
For a crispy topping, broil on low for a couple of minutes after baking if necessary.
