Description

These Acorn Donut Holes are delightful and tasty! Coated in chocolate and topped with pretzel stems, they are simple to prepare and perfect for satisfying sweet cravings or adding fun to any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 glazed donut holes
  • ¾ cup chocolate chips
  • 10–20 pretzel sticks
  • ¾ cup chocolate jimmies sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Break pretzel sticks in half if they are long, using only 10 pieces.
  2. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl using 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Pour chocolate sprinkles into a separate bowl and keep it nearby.
  4. Dip the tops of the donut holes into the melted chocolate, scraping off excess at the edge of the bowl.
  5. Immediately dip the chocolate-coated part into the sprinkles to let them stick.
  6. Insert a pretzel stick into the chocolatey end of each donut hole to create the acorn stem.
  7. Place each assembled donut hole on a parchment-lined tray and repeat until all are done.
  8. Optional: Chill in the fridge or freezer for 5 minutes to set the chocolate, or enjoy right away.

Notes

Feel free to use mini donut holes if you prefer a smaller treat.
Make sure the chocolate is fully melted for a smooth coating.
Try different types of sprinkles for a fun twist.
