Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 16.3 ounce can flaky biscuits
- 1 cup apple cider
Instructions
- Line a tray with parchment paper or set out a wire rack for cooling the donuts.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon, then set it aside.
- Pour the apple cider into a small saucepan, simmer on medium-high heat until it reduces slightly, then set aside.
- Open the biscuit dough, separate the biscuits, and use a small round object to punch out the centers to create donut shapes.
- Line the air fryer basket with a parchment round or spray with oil to prevent sticking.
- In batches, add four donuts to the air fryer basket, ensuring they're not touching each other.
- Air fry at 350°F for 3 minutes, flip the donuts, and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
- Transfer the hot donuts to the tray or wire rack and repeat with the remaining dough.
- Once warm, brush each donut with the reduced apple cider and roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture for coating.
- Serve immediately while warm and enjoy.
Notes
For best results, don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket while cooking.
These donuts are best enjoyed fresh, although they can last a day in an airtight container.
Adjust the amount of cinnamon sugar according to taste.
