- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound salmon, 4 filets
- 2 teaspoons spicy brown mustard
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped; for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Dry the salmon filets with paper towels, then brush 1/2 teaspoon of spicy brown mustard on each filet. Sprinkle each with 1/4 of the spice mixture and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Place the salmon in the preheated air fryer, ensuring about an inch of space between each filet. If needed, cook in batches.
- Cook for 6-8 minutes or until the internal temperature of the salmon reaches 135 degrees F.
- Remove the salmon from the air fryer, cover it with aluminum foil, and cook any remaining filets. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Adjust the amount of spicy brown mustard to your taste for more or less heat.
For an alternative flavor, try adding some citrus juice to the spice mix.
