Description

Cheese Twists with Puff Pastry are a delightful treat featuring golden, flaky layers filled with savory cheddar and parmesan. Perfect for gatherings or a simple snack, these twists are quick to make and sure to impress with their flavor and texture.


Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Unfold the thawed puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Roll out gently to smooth the creases.
  3. Drizzle half of the melted butter over each sheet and spread evenly. Sprinkle each sheet with half of the garlic salt, cheddar cheese, and parmesan cheese.
  4. Cut each puff pastry sheet into 3/4" wide strips using a pizza cutter. Twist each strip and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk the egg with water. Brush the egg wash onto the twisted pastry strips.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the twists are puffed and lightly golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding herbs or spices to the cheese mixture.
These can be made in advance and reheated before serving for convenience.
