Description

This easy blueberry crisp is a delightful blend of fresh blueberries and a crunchy topping. With simple prep and irresistible flavor, it’s the perfect dessert for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup quick oats
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 4 cups fresh blueberries
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and spray a 9 x 9 inch pan with non-stick spray.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the blueberries, sugar, flour, lemon juice, nutmeg, cinnamon, and water. Cook until the mixture thickens.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the topping ingredients: flour, brown sugar, quick oats, and cubed cold butter. Use a pastry cutter or fork to create a crumbly texture and sprinkle it over the berry mixture.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.

Notes

Ensure the blueberries are fresh for the best flavor.
You can substitute the quick oats with rolled oats if desired.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a delightful treat.
