Description

This Easy Oreo Frosting is a must-try for its rich flavor and simple preparation. Combining creamy butter and cream cheese with crunchy Oreo crumbs makes it perfect for any dessert or cake!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 5 cups powdered sugar sifted
  • 34 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 8 oreo chocolate sandwich cookies crushed into fine crumbs

Instructions

  1. In a stand mixer or bowl, beat together the softened butter, cream cheese, and vanilla on medium-high speed for 2-2½ minutes until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Reduce the speed to medium-low. Gradually add the powdered sugar 1½ cups at a time, alternating with 1 tablespoon of heavy cream after each addition.
  3. Mix until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
  4. Fold in the finely crushed Oreos, ensuring no large clumps remain for easy piping.
  5. If not using immediately, store in the refrigerator. Allow the frosting to come to room temperature for 20-30 minutes before re-whipping for 15-30 seconds.

Notes

Ensure cookies are finely crushed to avoid clumping when piping the frosting.
Store any leftover frosting in the refrigerator for best results.
If frosting is too soft, additional powdered sugar can be added.
