Description
These grilled shrimp skewers are bursting with flavor thanks to garlic and lemon. Perfect for summer BBQs, they are quick to prepare and absolutely mouthwatering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tail on
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice from 1 lemon, about 3 Tablespoons of juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground or cracked pepper
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, mix together garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, sea salt, and pepper.
- Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss until well combined. Allow the shrimp to marinate for about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Thread the marinated shrimp onto metal or soaked wooden skewers, discarding the remaining marinade.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the shrimp skewers on the grill and cook for about 2 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and opaque.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and serve hot with lemon wedges, if desired.
Notes
For best flavor, marinate the shrimp for at least 30 minutes.
Use soaked wooden skewers to prevent burning on the grill.
Serve with a fresh salad or grilled vegetables for a complete meal.
