Description

This delightful Peach Jam bursts with irresistible flavor using fresh peaches, lemon juice, and just the right amount of sugar. Perfect for spreading on toast or as a sweet addition to desserts, it showcases simplicity and taste that anyone can appreciate.


Ingredients

  • 24 ounces fresh peaches (1 ½ pounds), peeled, pitted, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1.75 ounces sure-jell powdered pectin
  • 3 ½ cups granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Peel, pit, and dice the peaches, then place them in a large pot. Crush the peaches with a potato masher or fork to your desired consistency.
  2. Stir in the lemon juice and pectin until well combined.
  3. Set the pot over medium-high heat, stirring constantly as the mixture heats. Bring to a boil.
  4. Add the sugar all at once, stirring until completely dissolved.
  5. Return the mixture to a full rolling boil; boil for 1 minute while stirring continuously to avoid sticking.
  6. Remove from heat and skim off any foam that forms on the surface.
  7. Pour the hot jam into clean mason jars, leaving about ¼ inch of space at the top. Wipe the rims clean and seal with lids.
  8. Allow the jars to cool to room temperature before storing them in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or in the freezer for up to 6 months.

Notes

Ensure peaches are ripe for the best flavor.
Store jars in the refrigerator if not using immediately.
For longer preservation, keep jars in the freezer.
