Description

This Peach Preserves offers an irresistible flavor with simple prep using juicy peaches, sugar, and lemon. It’s perfect for topping your favorite bread or adding to desserts!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 peaches, diced into 2” cubes
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • ½ lemon, zest

Instructions

  1. Combine peaches, sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a large saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a rapid boil and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally and using a wooden spoon to help break down the peaches until the mixture thickens.
  3. Once finished, transfer the preserves to a large glass jar or several smaller jars with a sealed lid and refrigerate. Store for up to 2 months.

Notes

Make sure to dice the peaches into uniform cubes for even cooking.
Check the thickness of the preserves by seeing if they stick to the back of a spoon.
Use sterilized jars for longer storage.
