- ⅓ cup (79ml) buttermilk

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray a 9×5-inch or 8×4-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, oil, and pumpkin puree.
- Add the eggs, pumpkin pie spice, salt, and baking soda to the mixture, stirring until well combined.
- Incorporate the buttermilk and flour into the mixture, folding in the chocolate chips last.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, testing for doneness with a toothpick.
