Description
This Red, White, and Blue Jello with Cream is a festive treat bursting with flavor. Easy to prepare, it features red and blue gelatin layers topped with creamy goodness, making it perfect for gatherings and special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 oz red gelatin (170g)
- 6 oz blue gelatin (170g)
- boiling water (use the amount called for on the back of the gelatin box)
- cold water (use the amount called for on the back of the gelatin box)
- 12 fl. oz heavy whipping cream (350ml)
- 5 fl. oz sweetened condensed milk (150ml)
- whipped cream
- Red, white, and blue sprinkles
Instructions
- Follow the directions on the back of the two gelatin boxes.
- Prepare both gelatin flavors and transfer them to a 8×8 (20cmx20cm) dish. Refrigerate for about 4 hours or until set. You may use the Quickset method mentioned in the box if you prefer.
- Cut squares according to the size of your cups when both gelatins are completely set. Using a utility knife, run it through the Jell-O vertically and horizontally to create the squares.
- Remove them delicately to avoid breaking. Use a teaspoon, the tip of a butter knife, or a spatula to lift them.
- Use small cups of 8oz (237ml) or less to create this dessert. Place a few gelatin squares on the bottom of the cup, alternating colors and pressing them against the wall to make them visible from the outside. Pour about 1.5 tablespoons of cream and continue layering until reaching the top of the cup.
- Decorate with whipped cream and sprinkles as desired.
Notes
Make sure the gelatins are fully set before cutting into squares.
You can customize the sprinkles for different occasions or colors.
For a richer flavor, you can adjust the amount of sweetened condensed milk in the cream.
