Description

This Strawberry Pretzel Salad combines a crunchy pretzel crust, creamy cheese filling, and flavorful strawberry topping. It’s a delicious dessert for gatherings, made with simple ingredients and no baking required.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups small salted pretzels (crushed)
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup salted butter (melted)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream (12 oz)
  • 6 oz strawberry flavored gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and gather all ingredients.
  2. Pulse together pretzels and brown sugar in a food processor until chunky. Add melted butter and pulse until moistened.
  3. Firmly press the mixture into the bottom of an 8×8 baking dish lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown, then let cool completely.
  4. In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Add heavy cream to the cream cheese mixture and beat until fully combined. Spread over the cooled pretzel crust and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  6. Stir strawberry gelatin powder into boiling water until dissolved. Let cool in the refrigerator until thickened (about 30 minutes).
  7. Fold sliced strawberries into the thickened gelatin, then pour over the chilled cream cheese mixture.
  8. Refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours, or until the Jello is set. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

Ensure to cool the pretzel crust completely before adding the cream cheese layer to avoid melting.
Feel free to replace the strawberry gelatin with raspberry or cherry for a twist on flavor.
This dessert is best served within a day or two for optimal freshness.
