Ingredients

  • 16 ounces super firm tofu
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon mellow white miso
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Pat the tofu dry with paper towels and slice it thinly using a vegetable peeler.
  2. In a large pan, combine vegetable broth, soy sauce, mellow white miso, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Stir well to mix.
  3. Add the sliced tofu to the pan, ensuring it is well-coated in the liquid. Bring to a gentle simmer and allow to cook for 30 minutes, until the liquid is absorbed. Do not stir while cooking.
  4. Enjoy the tofu warm or let it cool before using in sandwiches with your choice of toppings like vegan cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and condiments.

Notes
